And on the dawn of the new movie, comes a new series of toys from Funko. Each of the Fab Four and the Blue Meanie will be the first characters issued. The release date for Funko Pop Beatles Yellow Submarine toys is May 21! Captain Fred and the Yellow Sub will be issued later.

 P.S. New Disney Series 4 figures were announced today on the FunkoFunatic bulletin board.

The previous figures in the series were announced at the The New York Toy Fair in February: Funko Pop Rocks Michael Jackson. The first three characters are available now at Amazon: "Smooth Criminal","Billie Jean" and "Beat It", or get the complete set of 3.

The release date for the new characters hasn't been confirmed yet -- Michael Jackson "Bad", and "Military" Michael from the 1984 Grammy Awards.

The World of Pop! Volume #1

The latest news from the Funko Funatic forum is the new book to premiere at the San Diego Comic-con this year all about Funko toys: The World of Pop! Volume #1 - LIMITED EDITION Hardcover - in time for Comic Con." 

Another book was printed about Funko and Mindstyle toys for a toy fair in China. Brian also wrote a long out of print book called Classic Hanna Barbera Collectibles.

Eric, an aspiring illustrator, is hoping to impress publishers and land a job;
Holly, costume and creature designer, hopes her creations will win the big prize;
Chuck, a long-time comic book dealer, is looking for a big sale to pay off his debts;
Skip, longtime amateur illustrator wants to be discovered at this year’s event;
