Alameda Sun - Revolutions per Minute: 45 Record Cover Collection:
"Duane Tom began collecting 45-rpm records in the 1970s. In those pre-MTV days, the record sleeve was often the first time you got to see what the artist looked like! This is an exhibition of record covers with the bands and musical personalities from the late '50s to the 1990s."

"Now it was possible to see and purchase sleeves you had only heard about, or saw listed in a record price guide. With that, my collection took off and has been a source of countless hours of enjoyment," Tom said. Come enjoy Tom's collection at the Pacific Pinball Museum, 1510 Webster St. from June 10 to July 5. An opening reception will be held Friday, June 10, from 6 p.m. to midnight with a no-host bar and free flipper finger food. $10 will allow you to play pinball all night.
